Belo Interactive Winner in the 11th Annual CIO Enterprise Value Awards

Dallas, TX –Belo Interactive, the Internet subsidiary of Belo Corp., announced that it is one of five winners and two runners up singled out from the 80 companies that competed in CIO Magazine’s 11th annual Enterprise Value Awards. CIO awarded Belo Interactive an honorable mention in this year’s Enterprise Value Awards for the development of VelocIT, a content management system that centralizes all content and manages its distribution throughout the 34 Belo Interactive Web sites.

The award recognizes Belo Interactive’s content management system, VelocIT, based on its ability to produce measurable business advantages enterprise-wide through the innovative use of technology. The VelocIT content management system efficiently integrates content from across Belo’s stable of 34 Web sites as well as Belo’s four daily newspapers, 19 television stations and six cable news networks. With the creation of VelocIT, Belo Interactive can better manage and distribute news content from a variety of sources for its nationwide network of Web sites.
